Privacy Policy

Last updated: draft — see note at the bottom before relying on this.

What we collect from account holders

When you create a TourismPulse account, we collect your full name, organization, mailing address, email, and password. The mailing address is used for invoicing and account correspondence — we don't use it for anything else. If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card number.

What we collect from your account's usage

We log which reports you generate (destination and timestamp) to enforce plan quotas and show you your own usage history. If you enable your account's public destination page, we log the anonymous shape of what visitors ask the itinerary builder for — categories, budget level, trip length — attributed to your account, never to an individual visitor. We don't collect visitor names, emails, or any other identifying information from your public page's visitors.

Third-party data sources

Reports and maps draw on public data from OpenStreetMap, the U.S. Census Bureau, state departments of transportation, and state tourism offices. These are all public, non-personal datasets about places, not people.

Cookies

We use a session cookie (via Supabase Auth) to keep you signed in. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies, and we don't run ads.

What we don't do

We don't sell your personal information. We don't share your account data with other TourismPulse customers. We don't use your data to train any third-party AI model.

Data retention and deletion

We keep account data for as long as your account is active. To request deletion of your account and associated data, email us at the address in the footer.

Have an actual lawyer review it before relying on it, especially before selling to government or institutional customers who may have their own compliance requirements.
